How can I use groups and communities to find clients?
Be present in the groups and communities where your ideal client spends time, and help people there. Think about which groups they are in, for example groups for law firms if you target personal injury attorneys, or groups for chiropractors. Facebook groups and subreddits both work.
Do not just spam your link. Self promotion is frowned upon on some platforms, such as Reddit. Add value to the conversation so people see you as the authority: when someone asks how to do something, show them how. Offering a free sample you generated can also bring clients.
When you help someone, do it where everybody else can see. One client project can become three or more pieces of content, for example the story of the person who needed a new website, what the AI created in two minutes, and the client's reaction when they saw it. Each can be a social media post or a post in a group.
In person, local networking groups such as Business Network International (BNI) hold weekly events where you can introduce yourself and meet business owners.
